Midtown Crossing work to begin on the bridge piles

Construction is underway on a new east-west connection across I-15 known as Midtown Crossing, between SR-126 (Main Street) and Hill Field Road on 1425 North. The week of August 7-11, crews will begin installation of piles on the west side bridge abutment. After the west side is finished, crews will move to the center of the freeway, and then to the east side. 
Water, sewer, and storm drain work continues in the Kohl's parking lot. Paving in Kohl's parking lot will begin in a couple weeks. Work will also start on the new roundabout at 1425 North and Layton Hills Parkway in a couple weeks

-A pavement rehabilitation project is underway along the I-15 on and off ramps at Hill Field Road, Antelope Drive, SR-193, 650 North, and 5600 South. There will be intermittent nightly closures, through August 8, at the 5600 South Northbound off-ramp in Roy, from 10 p.m. to 4:40 a.m.  Motorists should observe “Road Closed” signs and follow posted detours.  Crews will also be continuing highway maintenance on auxiliary lanes in the 650 North and 5600 North areas.
