Hill Air Show Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26: No vehicles allowed through South Gate

The 2016 Hill AFB Warriors over the Wasatch Utah Air Show will be Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 at Hill Air Force Base.
Area residents and visitors are encouraged to drive safely in the Layton area, being extra cautious, with an expected increase in traffic on both days. There may be some distracted drivers on the road; some visitors new to the area; and extra vehicles and pedestrians along roadsides.
Also, since no vehicles (except handicap access) will allowed through the Base’s South Gate (top of Hill Field Road) – foot traffic only – there will be many pedestrians along northern Hill Field Road and also crossing U-193.
Scheduled performers include Red Bull pilot Kirby Chambliss, a salute to our historical air power, the Breitling Jet Team, the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the awe inspiring United States Air Force Thunderbirds and more.
There will also be a huge collection of aircraft on display.
Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. each day. Flying will begin at 9:30 a.m. each day and will continue until 4:30 p.m.
Admission and parking will be free. However, no coolers or pets will be allowed at the show. There will be food and drink available for purchase at the Air Show. With summer temperatures expected, show attenders should drink plenty of liquids. Handicapped parking and rest rooms will be provided.
-Avoid the hassle of driving and parking for the Air Show by taking UTA trains and/or buses.There will be a commemorative Air Show UTA pass available.
Those traveling to the air show can ride FrontRunner to Clearfield station and connect to buses going to Hill Air Force Base throughout the Air Show on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, UTA is even running FrontRunner service on Sunday, with three morning and three evening trips.
