Arts in the Park

Play Begins: June and July Sessions (Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Fees: $40.00
Age: 1st - 6th grade

Arts in the Park is a summer camp style program for boys and girls entering 1st through 6th grade. Children participate in an arts and craft activity, theater activity, and recreation activity each day. Morning and afternoon classes available at various parks throughout Layton City. This is a three week program held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for two hours each day. Limited class space available, early registration recommended. Check back starting June 8, for details on the modified, at-home program.
Fishing Club
Registration - Spring
Youth Fishing Club Registration: TBD
Play Begins: TBD (Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays)
Fees: $35.00
Age: 9-13 years old (12 and older need a fishing license)

Classes are held once every week for six weeks. Learn: how to cast, equipment, knots, fish biology, ecology, water safety and more. Program registration includes a Fishing Club T-shirt and a Kids’ Tackle box
Hunter Safety

Age: 10 years and over

The Utah Hunter Education Course is 15-20 hours. Layton City Hunter Safety classes are scheduled according to instructor availability. Class dates, days, times and locations may vary. Layton City Hunter Safety class must registered for in office only and students must provide a Hunter Education Certificate at time of registration. Students must attend all classes in a session to successfully pass. It is recommended that students under 10 years old attend with a participating adult. radKIDS

Age: 8 - 12 years old

radKIDS is a child safety and empowerment course taught by the Layton City Police Department for elementary students 8 to 12 years old. The radKIDS course focuses on a variety of aspects of child safety including bicycle safety, vehicle safety, fire safety, and stranger safety. A large portion of the class involves student participation in learning how to resist aggression defensively. More information on the radKIDS program can be found on their website at www.radkids.org. The course is free to attend, however registration is required. Class space is limited so be sure to register early. Students may only participate in one (1) class session each year.

  • Medical Release & Parental Consent Form - Each participant that is registered, must download, print and complete the Medical Release & Parental Consent From and bring it with them to the first day of class.
