A Portion of Oak Lane Closed

Article Published 09/12/2014

Beginning Friday, September 12, Oak Lane in Layton will be closed to traffic at the existing frontage road or US-89.
The closure has been part of the long-term plan and as the project is progressing rapidly, it is necessary to activate this closure.
It will be necessary for residents to travel west on Oak Lane and follow the posted detour to access US-89.
During the closure, crews will construct the new portion of the Hobbs Creek Drive frontage road. A new frontage road will be added that runs from Country Oaks Drive north and connects with Hobbs Creek Drive (the existing frontage road from SR-193).
Other construction activities include relocating utilities, surveying and heavy earthwork for the new signals at US-89 and Antelope Drive.
Motorists should not encounter any delays.  Please avoid walking and hiking through the construction zone as heavy equipment is present.
For questions, concerns or updates, please contact the project team via hotline at 800-292-3557.
