Today’s snowstorm has delayed the construction start on the emergency sewer repair on Gentile Street between Main Street and Wasatch Drive. Crews will begin mobilizing for the repair work possibly tomorrow (Tuesday), depending on how quickly weather conditions improve. Once construction begins, Gentile Street will be closed between Main Street and Wasatch Drive from 7:00am to 6:00pm for the safety of the public and the crews doing the repair. Please use Layton Parkway as an alternate route. The repair work is anticipated to take a minimum of 3 days, depending on weather conditions and construction progress.

Please note that the detour route for the upcoming Emergency Sewer Repair on Gentile Street has been modified. Layton Parkway will be the preferred signed detour route to accommodate drivers and larger vehicle traffic through signalized intersections. Please refer to the updated map. The closure area is shown in red, and the signed detour is shown in green. Gentile Street between Fort Lane and Wasatch will remain open to local traffic and is shown in yellow.
