Layton Police Make Second Arrest in Bomb Case

Article Published 09/11/2007

The Layton Police Department has arrested another person related to the recent pipe bomb cases in Layton and Roy.  Raymond Bradley Parr, 47 years old, was arrested at his home in West Point in the early morning hours of September 11, 2007.

Following the incident in Roy last night, Layton Police obtained and served a search warrant at a storage shed complex in the Clearfield area.  Information was obtained that led the police to believe this is where the pipe bombs were stolen from initially.  Layton Police located some evidence inside the storage shed.

Detectives learned that Raymond Parr leased the storage unit.  They were able to develop probable cause that Parr is person responsible for manufacturing all of the explosives found in Layton last week and in Roy on September 10, 2007.

Raymond Parr was booked into the Davis County Jail on September 11, 2007 for Possession of Explosive Devices.  He is currently being held without bail.
