Annual Kendall O. Bryant Fire Awareness Day Open House is Oct. 3

LAYTON — Come for the family fun, leave with life-saving fire safety knowledge during this annual city event, Wednesday, Oct. 3, hosted at Fire Station No. 1.

The day is remembered in honor of Kendall O. Bryant, a Layton City firefighter who lost his life while searching for trapped victims in a house fire.

Activities will be from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at Layton City Fire Department Fire Station No. 1, 530 N. 2200 West, Layton. Events will coincide with a national campaign for fire safety.

During the open house, families and individuals will have the opportunity to join the fire safety team. Other featured activities include the Jr. Fire Fighter Muster, watching firefighters in action and elementary school children competing for their school in a “Run For Your Life” relay.

All are invited.
