UDOT update on Midtown Crossing and I-15 pavement rehabilitation

Construction is underway on a new east-west connection across I-15 known as Midtown Crossing, between SR-126 (Main Street) and Hill Field Road on 1425 North. Construction is continuing off I-15 at the moment, with asphalt demolition and concrete work in the Kohl's parking lot. There will be no lane closures on I-15 for this project during the next few weeks.
In a couple weeks, crews will begin installation of piles on the west side bridge abutment.
Starting in mid-August, work will begin on the new roundabout at 1425 North and Layton Hills Parkway.

-A pavement rehabilitation project is underway along the I-15 on and off ramps at Hill Field Road, Antelope Drive, SR-193, 650 North, and 5600 South. Work consists of removing asphalt and replacing it with new pavement. A ramp closure is scheduled at Exit 650 North, 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., nightly now through August 2.  Motorists should observe “Road Closed” signs and follow posted detours. Crews will also be continuing highway maintenance on auxiliary lanes in the 650 North and 5600 North areas.
