Northbound I-15 ramp at Hill Field Road closed each night through Oct. 8

Article Published 10/05/2015

Road work crews will be closing the northbound on-ramp from Hill Field Road (SR-232) each night through Oct. 8, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., for some waterline/pipe work across the ramp. To access northbound I-15, use the Layton Parkway or Antelope Drive interchanges.
Work on the ThrU-Turns in the Layton Improved project is nearly complete. The east ThrU-Turn is open with work continuing on concrete medians.  Crews are now making final preparations for their opening of the west ThrU-Turns in the coming weeks. Watch for an announcement of their opening.

-Lanes are closed at Hill AFB South Gate as crews are conducting a project to install locking security gates, a traffic signal, and extend a right-hand turn lane. The lane closures will also include an intersection just inside the gate, where Balmer Avenue crosses with South Gate Avenue.
Much of the work will be performed during off-peak commuting hours, but there may be some congestion. The project is expected to last until November 15, contingent upon weather conditions. Additional work at the gate will take place in the spring of 2016, as well, causing more closures.
