New Greyhawk Drive/SR-193 traffic light operational soon

Major roadway work and striping are now complete for the new traffic signal at Greyhawk Drive/SR-193. Electrical hook-ups and signal pole installations are tentatively planned for the week of Nov. 2 (weather permitting) and the intent is to have the signal operational by the end of the week.
Motorists should continue to expect shoulder closures on SR-193 until the work is completed. 
As a part of the work, 1650 East has been permanently closed. Local residents will use a new route to access SR-193 via Church Street.
-Install new traffic signal at SR-193 (3000 North) and Greyhawk Drive (1700 East.) intersection.
-Install pedestrian access ramps at Greyhawk Drive
-Create left-turn acceleration lane on eastbound SR-193.
-Create longer left-turn deceleration lane on eastbound SR-193.
-Close 1650 E. access to SR-193 to improve safety.
