Lane closures on Hill Field Road

Article Published 05/08/2017
On the Hill Field Road (SR-232) project, northbound and southbound travel will remain reduced to one lane in each direction from Antelope Drive to approximately 1225 North to allow crews to finish grinding the newly placed asphalt. On Monday, May 8, crews will begin replacing the concrete panels that were damaged from SR-193 to 2800 North. During this work, there will be single lane closures for approximately 15 days to allow the concrete to cure.
Residents with specific issues can call the project hotline at 801-859-3770 for assistance. To stay up-to-date on construction activities email sr232@utah.gov, or visit the project website udot.utah.gov/go/sr232.
-Work is also underway on a project to resurface SR-193, the Bernard Fisher Highway, from Hill Field Road (SR-232) to US-89. Presently, Layton City crews are making spot improvements to a water mainline at various locations within the project limits. This activity began on May 3 and will be ongoing until May 14.  The right lane is closed during daytime hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  Paving activities on this project are expected to begin May 15.
For more information call the project team at 801-499-6577 or email sr193improved@utah.gov.
-Crews are also installing signal upgrades to the traffic signal on SR-109 at Gentile Street and Fairfield Road, Layton. Crews have finished all of the underground work and are now working on power connections. Lanes may be closed or restricted in the immediate area of work.  Slow down and be prepared to stop at any time.
