Midtown Crossing work to close 1425 North Street; Nighttime ramp and lane closures on I-15

Article Published 08/25/2017

Pile driving is underway in the median between I-15 northbound and southbound and will continue into next week on the I-15 Midtown Crossing Project.
1425 North will be closed after Labor Day, between Woodland Park Drive and Layton Hills Parkway, for approximately six weeks. Work in the area also includes building of bridge support walls, water and sewer line relocations, and installation of a new storm drain. Utility work and installation of wall panels is ongoing in the Kohl’s parking lot.

-A separate pavement rehabilitation project is underway along the I-15 on- and off-ramps at Hill Field Road (SR-232), Antelope Drive (SR-108) and 700 South (SR-193) in Layton.
Work consists of placing the final layer of new pavement on these ramps.  This work will require nighttime ramp closures. Single lane closures on I-15 may begin as early as 7 p.m., followed by full ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. No work is scheduled on Saturday. Watch for signs indicating where closures will occur, and detour routes.
