Angel Street, near Main Street, to close for one month; Nighttime lane closures on Main Street

Article Published 10/02/2017

For the Layton Midtown Crossing project -- Angel Street will be closed between Main Street and 1240 North beginning Wednesday, October 4 and will remain closed for approximately one month. This will provide room for crews to demolish, excavate, and build the new intersection leg south of Main Street.
Alternate routes are available on 1540 West, 1600 North or on Gordon Avenue.
Since Angel Street, between Main Street and Gordon Avenue, is also under construction with a sewer piping project, only local traffic is allowed there.
In addition, beginning Monday, Oct. 2, crews will be doing work on Main Street as part of the Angel Street intersection reconstruction. This work will take place at night and may last up to a week. Hours of operation will be from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. To complete this work, northbound main street will be reduced to one lane near the intersection to allow room for work.
