Road closure information for West Gentile, West Hill Field Road

Article Published 04/30/2014

Two Layton railroad crossings will be refurbished between now and Friday, May 9, prompting closures.

The Union Pacific/UTA crossing on Gentile Street, just west of Main Street, is closed until Friday, May 2.
Drivers should use 200 North in Kaysville, the Layton Parkway, King Street, or Hill Field Road as alternative routes.

The Union Pacific/UTA railroad crossing at Hill Field Road, just west of Sam’s Club, will be closed starting Sunday, May 4 for refurbishment. It will then remain closed until Friday, May 9.
Drivers can use Gentile Street, the King Street crossing, or Gordon Avenue, or the Layton Parkway as alternatives during that closure.

Layton’s other three railroad crossings --  at King Street, Gordon Avenue and 2200 West --  are not schedule for improvements, or closures this year.

The closures and work are not Layton City projects, they are being done by Union Pacific and UTA.
