Layton City Fourth of July schedule

Saturday, July 4 events:
6:00 a.m – 10:00 a.m. – Breakfast at Layton Commons Park (North Bowery). Early bird prices, (from 6-8 a.m.) -- $22 per family (up to 5 members), Individuals, $5; Regular pricing (8-10 a.m.) -- $24, ages 12 and older, $6; Ages 4-11, $4; and children 3 and younger, free
6:30 a.m. – Day-of Registration for the Fun Run/Walk (Layton Commons Park) and packet pickup. $25 late registration on day of the race. (Advance registration, $15, closed June 26.)
7:15 a.m. – Walk begins.
7:30 a.m. – Run begins.
8:30 a.m. – Flag Raising Ceremony (Ed Kenley Amphitheather).
9:00 a.m. – First all-star ball games begin (at Wendell, Starkey, Ellison & Oak Forest Ball Fields).
10:15 a.m. -- Children’s bike parade.
10:30 a.m. – Parade begins.
12:00 p.m.– Surf 'n Swim 0pens.
12:00 p.m. – Dutch Oven Demonstrations (north end Commons Park).
12:00 p.m. – Basic Dutch Oven Cooking (Breads and Rolls).
2:00 p.m. – Dutch Oven Cooking Techniques (Main Dishes).
4:00 p.m. – Dutch Oven Cooking for Groups (Desserts).
12:30 p.m. – Concessions, Vendor Booths and Entertainment at Layton Commons Park.
8:00 p.m. – New American Philharmonic Symphony with Cannoneers at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater.
10:00 p.m. – Fireworks.
