Learn to BREATHE, FOCUS, STRETCH, MOVE, and BALANCE to music. Move mindfully with your breath while building both strength and balance. Class ends with yin yoga stretching (longer holds). Yin yoga targets the connective tissues helping to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. Aromatherapy and essential oils will also be incorporated. The first few classes, for those newer to yoga, will spend a little time on foundational yoga postures. Expect to be challenged both mentally and physically. Modifications and level of intensiy will be offered. What to bring: yoga mat, water, towel, and an open mind. Some yoga mats available. Sanitizer provided. Taught in the Northridge HS Dance Room. To register and pay with cash or a check (please make it out to Layton High School) bring to Layton HS main office during school hours or give to Angie on first day of class. Registration and payment cannot be made in the Northridge HS main office. Class is taught every Monday and Wednesday for 8 weeks.
