Monday Feb 6th - 6:00 PM - 8:45 PM - Come swim with music and free tube rental.

Tuesday Feb 7th - 6:00 PM - 8:45 PM - Free ice cream sandwiches during open wave.

Wednesday Feb 8th - 6:00 PM - 8:45 PM - An obstacle course sill be set up in the pool. Come see if you can set a best time.

Thursday & Friday Feb 9th & 10th - 6:00 PM - 8:45 PM - Throwback Night, admission prices go back to the day we opened. Admission cost $2.00.

Saturday Feb 11th - 12:00 PM - 6:45 PM - Birthday cookies will be given out to everyone that comes in.

FUNaddicts Auditions

Layton City Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the 2012 auditions for FUNaddicts! A premiere teen performance group that will be showcased this summer in the beautiful Ed Kenley Amphitheater. The members of this elite club will entertain audiences young and old with a variety of

Singing
Dancing
Acting
Puppeteering and
Improvisation

This group will also have the opportunity to do studio recordings, and professional style photos.

The FUNaddicts! team will be comprised of 15 talented teenagers from Layton and the surrounding area. Acceptance into the team is by audition only. There is a membership fee of $50. Each team member will receive instruction in the various skills needed for the show. Shirt is also included with membership.

FUNaddicts! is for youth between the ages of 12 and 18 who have a passion for entertaining. Auditions will be held on Saturday, Feb 18, 2012 from 9:00am-12:00pm at the Central Davis Jr High Armory, 663 North Church Street, Layton.

Layton City Provides VITA Program Site

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Programs offer free tax help for taxpayers who qualify.

Trained community volunteers may help with special credits, such as Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled. In addition to free tax return preparation assistance, most sites also offer free electronic filing (e-filing). Individuals taking advantage of the e-file program will receive their refunds in half the time compared to returns filed on paper - even faster when tax refunds are deposited directly into one's bank account.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

The VITA Program offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income (generally, $49,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Certified volunteers sponsored by various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country. VITA sites are generally located at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, schools, shopping malls, and other convenient locations. Most locations also offer free electronic filing.

Items You Need To Bring With You To The VITA Sites

Proof of Identification
Social Security Cards for you, your spouse and dependents or an ITIN Card
Letter issued by the Social Security Administration (if SS Cards are not available)
Birth dates for you, your spouse and dependents
Current year's tax package if you received one in the mail
Wage and Earnings Statements (W-2 or W-2G)
Interest and dividend statements from banks (Form 1099)
A copy of last year's tax return, if available
Bank routing numbers and account numbers for direct deposit (your bank checks have this information, so you can bring a voided blank check)
Amout paid for day care, provider's name and tax identifying number (the provider's Social Security number or the Business Employer Identification Number)
To file taxes on a married filing jointly tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms.
