The Management Services Department works closely with all City departments to provide internal services. The Assistant City Manager functions as the Management Services Director. Management Services carries out five main functions:
The Department consists of fifteen (15) full time and seven (7) part time regular employees. In addition there are two (2) limited part-time “fill-in” custodians. Key positions are described below:
Assistant City Manager - Oversees all department functions and budgets. Directly supervises the Department Secretary, Human Resources Officer, Risk Management Analyst, Information Technology Manager and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
Human Resources Officer - Responsible for benefits administration, job evaluations, performance evaluations, salary surveys, equal opportunity employment plans, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, new hire orientations, and miscellaneous employee issues.
Human Resources Analyst - Assists the Human Resources Officer with job postings, employment interviews, applicant testing, background investigation, payroll processing, and performance evaluations.
Risk Management Analyst - Assists the Management Services Director with
safety and loss control, risk management, claims handling, and safety education.
In addition, assists with all emergency planning responsibilites.
Information Technology Manager - Responsible for the City’s computer hardware and software, network administration, telephone systems, web page, and Internet/Intranet multi-media. Supervises the LAN computer specialist and PC technician.
Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - Responsible for maintaining all city buildings and swimming pools, including security systems, emergency generators, HVAC systems, etc. Coordinates all building improvements. Supervises one (1) full-time and one (1) part-time facilities maintenance technician.
Custodian Supervisor - Responsible for cleaning all City buildings except the fire stations. Supervises two (2) full-time custodians, four (4) part-time regular custodians, and two (2) “fill-in” custodians.
