Bowhunter Education
The Bowhunter Education class is a comprehensive course for national bowhunter certification. Completion is required to hunt in Idaho, Montana, Alaska and several other states. This course does not replace the traditional hunter education course. Students must still complete the hunter education course before purchasing hunting licenses.
The course curriculum includes bowhunting safety, ethics, methods and regulations, as well as instruction in elevated stands, shot placement and survival. The course format includes classroom work, field exercises and a final written exam. Students must be at least 11 years old to register or 10 years old if registering with an adult.
