Beginning Wednesday, March 19 the Kays Creek Parkway in East Layton will be closed due to the installation of a cullinary water pipeline in the area.
· Weber Basin Water Conservancy District is preparing to begin installation of a new culinary water pipeline in east Layton. Click here to see a map of the pipeline alignment. Construction activities are expected to begin next week and will be focused through Hobbs Ravine for the next few months before progressing southward through city streets.
· During the week of March 17th, crews will begin mobilizing construction equipment to Hobbs Ravine and clearing a pathway along sections of the Kays Creek Parkway Trail in preparation for pipeline installation.
Kays Creek Parkway Trail Closure
As a public safety precaution during pipeline installation, sections of the trail will be closed from Wednesday, March 19th through approximately late May 2014. Click here to see a map of the trail closure areas.
Public Open House
The project team held a public open house on March 6th at Adams Elementary to provide an opportunity for residents to meet the construction team and receive updates on project design, schedule and expected impacts. Click here to see display boards presented at the event.
