Biography

Assistant Chief Craig R. Gibson joined the Layton Police Department in October of 2004. Prior to becoming a member of the Department he spent twenty years with the West Valley City Police Department, three years with the University of Utah Police Department, and four years with the United States Air Force. These organizations provided him the opportunity to gain experience in a number of areas to include, patrol, narcotics, investigations, K-9, first line supervision, and management.

Assistant Chief Gibson has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
