Geni Hyde Baseball/Softball Equipment Exchange

Layton City Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the 4th Annual Geni Hyde Equipment Exchange Program for gently used baseball and softball equipment and clothing. The Equipment Exchange is a free program that collects used baseball and softball equipment and then distributes that equipment to those in need of it. Equipment donations are the foundation of the program and are very much needed. Donations will be accepted at the Layton City Parks and Recreation Office, 465 N Wasatch Dr, Layton at any time Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. All types and sizes of equipment are needed including mitts, cleats (soccer cleats also accepted), and pants. Equipment must be clean and free of stains, rips and tears. This is a great way to help jump start your spring cleaning, and also contribute to a worthy cause.

The Equipment Exchange will be available every Tuesday, April 2 through April 30 between 1:00pm and 4:00pm at the Parks and Recreation Department.  Families are invited to come and find needed items for the upcoming baseball and softball season. Donations in exchange for picking up needed equipment are strongly encouraged.

For any questions call the Parks and Recreation Department, 801-336-3900.
