MAYOR'S CHALLENGE ON WATER CONSERVATION

In an effort to conserve water in Layton City, I am inviting you to join the Mayor’s Challenge to reduce your water usage. The state’s snowpack is currently only 70% of normal. And with several years of drier than normal conditions, a good portion of that runoff is being soaked up in the soil, and not collected in our streams and reservoirs, thus putting us in a drought situation.

As Mayor of Layton City, I invite you to join me in this challenge! Click the link on the bottom of this page to participate in the Mayor’s Water Conservation Challenge.

Only a few simple changes to your daily routine can make a big difference. For example, wash only a full load of laundry, turn the water off while brushing your teeth, repair leaking faucets, pipes, and sprinklers. Invite your family and friends to do the same. And watch our website and social media for tips, information, and resources for conserving water.

Whether you live in a home, apartment, or operate a business in Layton City, we can all do our part in conserving water.

Please join me in this challenge and take the pledge today to conserve water.

Respectfully yours,
Joy Petro Signature
