Tennis Instructors Needed

The Layton City Parks and Recreation Department is seeking reliable individuals to conduct instructional tennis lessons for the 2009 season. Lessons will be scheduled based on availability of instructor and facility. Morning and evening classes are needed. Lessons are for beginner and intermediate level tennis players ranging from youth to adult. Playing experience at a minimum of high school varsity level is required. Advanced knowledge of tennis skills, rules, and strategies is also required. Teaching experience is preferred. Instructors’ duties must include an ability to teach and demonstrate proper use of racquet, physical stance and technique. Instructor will provide evaluations throughout instruction to follow progress and facilitate improvement of all players.

This is a contract position through the Layton City Parks and Recreation Department. Compensation will be $15.00 per hour and may be negotiable based on level of experience.
