David R. Price
David R. Price received his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from Utah State University in 1989. While at the University he was able to work with the Department of Campus Planning helping to develop construction standards and details for future Campus growth.
After graduating David moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to work with the Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning firm of Campbell Okuma and Perkins. During this time he was able to work on land planning and residential landscape designs like, the Santa Fe High School athletic complex, the Rio Grand Botanical Park’s Original Master Plan and the Elephant Butte and Herion Reservoir’s Environmental impact studies. In 1993 David moved back to Utah and continued working as a Landscape Architect with Landmark Design. Here in Utah, David was able to work on projects like the University of Utah’s Marriot Library expansion and roof top gardens, and the Salt Lake International Airport Landscape improvements.
In 1997 David left Landmark Design to open The Price Group Inc. a landscape architecture and construction company. As President of the company David was able to design, construct, or manage projects like the Hale Center Theater landscaping, the Parish Lane Townhomes. David began his municipal services as Parks Manager for Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation in 2001.
In 2002 David was hired as the Parks Superintendent for Layton City. As Superintendent he was able to help with the development and construction of Sand Ridge Park, Kays Creek Trail extensions and the reorganization of the Parks Division. In 2007 Mr. Price was hired as Director of Parks and Recreation and charged with the administration and supervision of the City Park, Recreation, Aquatic, and Museum Divisions.
David resides in Layton with his two wonderful children.
