American Legion Post 27 Offers to Properly Retire Worn & Torn American Flags

Article Published 04/21/2015
The American Legion Post 27 Farmington, recognizing the importance of community relations, Americanism and the proper disposal of worn and torn flags of the United States, will, in a solemn and spectacular ceremony, dispose of hundreds of flags no longer worthy to be flown.

This breathtaking rite will dazzle your eyes and fill your heart.

Those who have flags unfit to display as the symbol of our great nation may drop them off at their local Fire Department. Then come to the Davis County Fair on August 13, 2015, where at about 8:30 pm, their flag will be retired by members of The American Legion, Veterans organizations, Military, National Guard, Sea Cadets and Boy and Girl Scouts.
