Article Published 03/05/2014

We are excited to announce a new location for Safe Kids Davis County!

The 14th annual Safe Kids Day will be held on Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Davis County Fairgrounds. Families are invited to participate in over 50 free, interactive booths; including the very popular “Teddy Bear Clinic” from Intermountain Health Care. Children receive a bear and then take them through a check-up procedure with the doctors and nurses from the local clinic. There will be fire trucks, police cars and other emergency vehicles. Enjoy numerous performances throughout the day including a Q&A with the Jazz Dancers, a K-9 dog show, and a Jump Rope Team, plus 300 free bike helmets will be given out (by ticket, on a first come first serve basis).  Families will learn about injury prevention and how to reduce risks in their home, car, near water or on the playground. A raffle will be held all day long for some amazing prizes donated by local vendors. Come join us for an up close, hands on day of fun.

Davis County Health Department is the lead organization of Safe Kids Davis County.  Layton City is also a member of Safe Kids Davis County.
