'Warriors Over The Wasatch' -- Hill AFB air show/open house is June 28-29

Warriors Over The Wasatch,” an air show and open house at Hill Air Force Base, will be Saturday, June 28, through Sunday, June 29.
The event features free admission and free parking.
The gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. on both days. The schedule for each day is generally the same and the event will be held despite inclement weather.
Some 200,000 people are expected to attend, so expect large crowds and traffic congestion.
Pre-show events begin at 9 a.m., while the air show commences at 10:30 a.m. both days.
Here are some important things to know, if you plan to attend the event:
-Enter Hill Air Force Base through one of three gates: the South Gate, north of U-193 and Hill Field Road; the West Gate in Clearfield, or the Roy Gate.
-Signs will direct motorists to parking lots. The lots most distant from the event will include complimentary shuttle service.
-Those requiring handicapped parking should use the South Gate and enter in the right-hand lane, where they will be directed to special parking locations.
-RVs should also use the South Gate and will park in Red Lot No. 4.
-Any motorcycle riders entering the Base must be wearing an approved helmet and proper clothing and gloves.
-Smoking – including E-Cigs --  is not permitted at the event.
-No weapons -- or fireworks of any kind are allowed on base.
-Pets, outside of registered service animals, are not allowed.
-The only lawn chairs allowed will be small, fold-up chairs.
-No awnings or tents are allowed. However, personal umbrellas will be permitted.
-Sunscreen is encouraged.
-For security reasons, coolers of any size are prohibited at the event, except for small coolers for infant beverages/food, or to keep medications cold. There will be vendors selling food and drink at the event.
-The only liquid allowed is water in sealed, clear plastic containers. No cases of water bottles will be allowed. Water stations, with free water, will be available to everyone attending. Small hydrations systems, like Camelbaks, will be allowed, but may also be searched upon entry.
-No loose ice is allowed. However, sealed ice packs are permitted.
-Everyone attending will be required to walk through metal detectors and have all their bags checked. Only small handbags will be allowed. Non-perishable food for lunches will be allowed in small handbags.
-Strollers and wheelchairs will be allowed. However, wagons, bicycles, scooters, skateboards and skates will not be permitted.
-Restrooms and water will be available in the flight-line areas only, not in the parking lots.
-UTA will offer service to the event. It will be free of charge with Frontrunner pass; $15 for an all-day pass for 4 people, and free for those 5 years or younger. UTA will charge $2.50 for one-way rides. Go to: for the schedule.
