Layton City Hall entrance being redone

Layton City Hall
The front entrance to Layton City Hall looks a little different these days.
There's a temporary, wooden handicapped access ramp up the south side of the entrance.
This is only while the official handicapped entrance on the north end of the building is being redone, with a hot water circulation system being built into new cement. This will help prevent ice buildup during the cold months of the year, improve access and increase safety.
Once that work is completed, the city will remove the wooden access ramp from the front of City Hall and the main entrance to City Hall will also be receiving a new cement entry and steps with a similar anti-ice system. Both the new handicapped access ramp and front entry will be furnished with new stainless steel handrails.
