Trevor Lee Foust - Mayoral Candidate
Biography
I'm Trevor Lee Foust— a Layton resident of 10 years, engineering leader, and committed youth coach—running for mayor to secure "a better future for our children." I grew up in Kaysville and Vancouver, paying my way through college by running a small roofing business, and earned both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. My wife of 22 years and I are now raising our three children right here in Layton.
Professionally, I lead a nationwide engineering organization at Hill Air Force Base, where I test and validate our current and next-generation nuclear deterrent systems. My career has spanned explosive testing, infrastructure management, budgeting, and strategic planning; after a mishap at Little Mountain test facility, I redesigned a milling system, which work earned me the Air Force's General Larry O. Spencer Innovation Award for safety and efficiency.
For the last decade, I've coached youth football, basketball, softball, baseball, and soccer—instilling perseverance, teamwork, and confidence. As mayor, I'll plan growth responsibly, modernize infrastructure, support police and fire services, and expand parks and recreation so every family—and especially every child—can thrive.
