Heritage Museum invites walk 'Down Memory Lane'

LAYTON — Visitors who take a walk "Down Memory Lane" at the Heritage Museum are likely to experience nostalgia as they see many items on display that they remember from their childhood.

The Heritage Museum's new feature exhibit, "Down Memory Lane," was put together with artifacts from the museum's collection that will be familiar to most visitors. Included in the new display is a telephone switchboard, a copper bathtub, ice skates and roller skates that clip to shoes, one of the first laptop computers, a portable record player, a crystal set, the first radio receiver, radios from various time periods and a Dee's Restaurant paper cup just to mention a few of items. The Heritage Museum is open Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The new exhibit will run through December of 2010. The museum is located at 403 North Wasatch Drive, Layton. Phone number: (801) 336-3930.
