Liberty Days Celebration

Layton City will host the annual Liberty Days Celebration on Monday, July 4, 2016. Events will include a 5k run/walk (Fun Run registration includes a tech style running shirt), breakfast in the park, flag raising ceremony, parade, vendor booths, concessions, dutch oven cooking, entertainment, the New American Philharmonic Symphony with Cannoneers at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater as well as the annual fireworks display.

Monday, July 4, 2016
6:00 am - 10:00 am Breakfast at Layton Commons Park (North Bowery).
$25 per family of 5
$6.00 ages 12 & up
$4.00 ages 4 - 11
Free ages 3 & under
6:30 am Day-of Registration for the Fun Run/Walk (Layton Commons Park) & packet pickup. Pre-registration is $15.00 until June 24 at 5:00 pm, $25.00 late registration  and day of the race.
7:15 am WALK BEGINS!
7:30 am RUN BEGINS!
8:30 am Flag Raising Ceremony (Ed Kenley Amphitheather)

9:00 am First all-star ball games begin 
(Wendell, Starkey, Ellison & Oak Forest Ball Fields)
Kids Bike Parade will kick off the Liberty Days Parade.  Kids with decorated bikes, scooters, wagons, etc are invited to participate.  Meet at parade check-in by 10:00 am.  Kids who participate will receive a free pass to Surf 'n Swim.  Parents are invited to ride alongside their children or can plan to pick their child up at the end of the parade.
10:30 am PARADE BEGINS!!!! 
12:00 pm Surf'n Swim Opens
12:00 pm Dutch Oven Demonstrations (north end Commons Park)
12:00 pm- Basic Dutch Oven Cooking (Breads and Rolls)
2:00 pm- Dutch Oven Cooking Techniques (Main Dishes)
4:00 pm- Dutch Oven Cooking for Groups (Desserts)
12:30 pm Concessions, Vendor Booths and Entertainment at Layton Commons Park!
8:00 pm New American Philharmonic Symphony with Cannoneers at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater. Stay and watch the fireworks! Best seats in Layton!
