3 public meetings set on West Davis Corridor EIS

The West Davis Corridor EIS team has completed the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). It is now available electronically for review on the Documentation page of the study website:
www.udot.utah.gov/westdavis
The Draft EIS is a large report, documenting all the data, information, input and analysis the team has collected and studied for the past three years of the study.
The Draft EIS also identifies UDOT’s locally preferred alternative.  An official public comment period has now started and will continue for 90-days, closing on Aug. 23.
During the public comment period, the public is encouraged to review the contents of the Draft EIS and submit their formal comments to the study team for consideration.
A final Record of Decision on an alternative is not expected until the study is complete in 2014.
UDOT will also hold a series of three open houses/public hearings for the public to review the Draft EIS information and submit comments:
  1. Tuesday, June 11, at the Legacy Events Center, 151 S. 1100 West, Farmington. Open house, 4-8 p.m., public hearing, 6-9 p.m.
  2. Wednesday, June 12, at West Point Junior High, 2775 W. 550 North, West Point. Open house, 4-8 p.m., public hearing, 6-9 p.m.
  3. Thursday, June 13, at Freedom Elementary School, 4555 W. 5500 South, Hooper.  Open house, 4-8 p.m., public hearing, 6-9 p.m.
