HILL AIR FORCE BASE -- Mark your calendars: The "Warriors Over the Wasatch" open house and air show will return to Hill Air Force Base, June 28-29, 2014.
"We are honored to host the Thunderbirds' aerial demonstration team during the 'Warriors Over the Wasatch' open house and air show in 2014," said Col. Kathryn Kolbe, 75th Air Base Wing and Installation Commander. "This event is a tremendous opportunity for our base to showcase the precision and power of the U.S. Air Force."
Hill typically hosts a biennial open house and air show. The last one was held May 26-27, 2012.
The Warriors Over The Wasatch open house and air show will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and a number of other civilian performers and demonstrations including:
-U.S. Army "Golden Knights" Parachute Team
-Rob Holland (MXS-RH)
-Bill Stein (Zivko Edge 540)
-Matt Chapman (Eagle 580)
-Gary Rower (Stearman)
-Buck Roetman (Pitts Special)
-Dan Buchanan (hang glider)
-Red Bull's Kirby Chambliss (Zivko Edge 540) and the Red Bull Air Force Jump Team
-Dave Erickson (Zlin - 50LS)
-Greg Colyer (T-33)
-Mark Peterson (P-51 and AlphaJet)
A timeline of the two-day program will be released later.
The public is encouraged to bring small lawn chairs, blankets, cameras and sunscreen, but leave weapons, alcohol, roller blades, bicycles, and coolers at home.
