12.24.040. Widening improved existing streets
The widening and improvement of existing streets may be paid for by the City where the widening and improvement is due to the need for system improvements rather than project improvements. All widenings and improvements required due to development activity and directly attributable to development activity, shall be paid for by the developer. Any widening required to provide system improvements may be paid for by the City. Nothing in this Section shall be construed to require the City to make any widening improvements on existing streets. In addition, nothing in this Section shall prohibit the City from widening or improving an existing street through the use of any other method such as a special improvement district or a similar mechanism.
