13.11.310. General storm water management

All future storm water management systems to be constructed and implemented for facilities within the protection zones and recharge areas shall be permitted in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

The discharge of storm water into drainage wells or open sinkholes shall be prohibited without some form of treatment.  This treatment shall be applied to at least the first 0.5-inch of runoff from the area tributary to the well or open sinkhole.

The Clean Water and Storm Water Regulations require municipalities and industries to identify, monitor, and limit urban runoff that may enter rivers, thus potentially affecting groundwater quality.
