Davis and Weber county residents are invited this week to attend two open houses held by UDOT, who will present a major transportation study examining critical east-west traffic issues within the counties.

The Davis Weber East-West Transportation Study is a massive undertaking looking at near- and long-term east-west corridor options, according to UDOT officials. Planned study outcomes include a 30-year transportation vision for the Davis and Weber area and a five-year list of priority projects necessary to serve the immediate east-west mobility needs of the region.

Public houses slated this week for concerned residents include:

Davis County
• Wednesday, Feb. 20
• 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Clearfield City Offices, Multi-Purpose Room
• 55 South State, Clearfield

Weber County
• Thursday, Feb. 21
• 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Ogden Union Station, Theater Annex
• 2501 Wall Avenue, Ogden

UDOT officials hope the open houses will allow residents to learn more about the study and provide feedback relating to four distinct 2040 transportation options. These options will include descriptive statements as well as a number of specific transportation projects planned for UDOT's vision.
