VITA offering income tax assistance

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is offering free opportunities for filing income taxes again this year – if your income is $54,000 or less.
-VITA filing opportunities are free and will be available at the Layton City Building, 437 North Wasatch Drive, on selected Tuesdays and Thursdays. The dates are: Feb. 2, Feb. 14, Feb. 16, Feb. 28, March 2, March 14, March 16, March 28, April 6 and April 11 -- all from 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary, just walk-in.
-VITA filing opportunities will also be available at Weber State University Davis Campus, 2750 University Park Boulevard, Building D2, Room 104, Layton, on selected Thursdays and Fridays, 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Tax filing is by appointment only. Call 2-1-1, or 1-888-826-9790, to schedule an appointment.
-Those with qualifying income can also file their taxes for free from home. All that is needed is a computer, internet access, an email account, and all tax documentation. The process takes about 60 minutes.
