Lane closures planned on I-15 in Layton July 17-21

Article Published 07/14/2017
Construction is beginning on a new east-west connection across I-15 known as Layton Crossing, between SR-126 (Main Street) and Hill Field Road on 1425 North. Lane closures will take place on I-15 the week of July 17 as crews will begin setting barriers in the work zone on I-15 between Hill Field Road and Antelope Drive.
Southbound - one lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Northbound - one lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Shifting lane closures are anticipated to occur through summer 2018 to accommodate the construction of the bridge over I-15, about a half mile north of Hill Field Road.
For more information about this project, call 801-499-6577, email laytoncrossing@utah.gov, or visit www.udot.utah.gov/go/i15laytoncrossing.
-In a separate freeway project, crews will be repairing damaged pavement on I-15 in Layton on Monday, July 17, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18. Crews will close the two right lanes southbound from 700 South (SR-193) to 650 North, and the two left northbound lanes from 650 North to approximately 1800 North in Sunset.  Slow down as you approach this work, and move in the direction indicated by electronic signs and barrels.
-Work is complete on the project resurfacing SR-193, the Bernard Fisher Highway, from Hill Field Road (SR-232) to US-89. Crews are wrapping up miscellaneous items and conducting cleanup activities throughout the project limits. All barrels are expected to be removed off the roadway by July 18.
