National Poison Prevention Week is March 18-24, 2018.
Poisoning is the No. 1 cause of injury related death in the nation. Unintentional poisoning from a wide variety of substances and environmental hazards can happen to anyone, and represents a substantial public health.
 In 1961 Congress established National Poison Prevention Week to raise awareness, reduce unintentional poisonings, and promote poison prevention. It is sponsored by the National Poison Prevention Week Council.

If someone is unconscious or has trouble breathing, call 911.
