I-15 overnight Lane Closures (Northbound and Southbound) - Next 3 Weeks

Article Published 05/15/2018
Beginning Tuesday, May 15, crews will begin painting the new Layton Midtown Crossing bridge. To complete this work, double lane closures are needed on I-15 between Hill Field Road and Antelope Drive. Lane closures will begin with northbound I-15 and last up to ten days while crews paint the east side of the bridge. Southbound I-15 lane closures will follow and last up to ten days while crews complete the west side of the bridge.
For both directions, one lane will close at approximately 7 p.m. and a second lane at midnight. Lanes will reopen the following morning in time for peak commute hours.
-Also, street parking is no longer permitted on 1425 North between Woodland Park Drive and Hill Field Road. Crews will be upgrading 1425 North Street to a three-lane road with a center median, bike lane and narrow shoulders. Cars parked on the street will be towed at the owner's expense. As part of the improvements, crews will resurface this section of road starting the week of May 14. Drivers should be aware of traffic shifts and follow construction signs.
