Layton City Accepting applications for RAMP Advisory Commission Members

Layton City is Accepting Letters of Interest and Applications for the Following Commissions:

Recreation, Arts, Museum and Parks Advisory Commission

Layton City is currently accepting applications to fill a vacant position on the Layton City Recreation, Arts, Museum and Parks (RAMP) Commission. This Commission functions as planning and advisory bodies for the City Council in matters pertaining to the expenditure of the RAMP tax revenue.

The RAMP Commission consists of nine members with four standing members and five at large members. RAMP Commission members advertise for, collect, and review RAMP grant applications.  These applications are to fund City owned recreation, arts, museum and parks facilities, and improvements to existing facilities.  Grants will also fund recreation, art, museum and park programs that benefit the residents of Layton and are developed by public or private non-profit organizations, as such terms are defined in State law. Once the Commission has reviewed all applications the Commission shall prioritize all grant applications and make a yearly recommendation to the City Council for the expenditure of RAMP Funds as outlined in the RAMP Advisory Commission Bylaws.

Appointed RAMP Advisory Commission Members may serve up to three (3), two-year terms.

Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest or fill out application no later than Monday, August 29, at 5:00pm.
