3 North Davis Sewer projects in Layton for 2014

Article Published 05/05/2014

The North Davis Sewer District has contracted with C&L Water Solutions for three different projects in Layton City this spring, summer and fall.
These projects are similar to the work done on Gordon Avenue last year, from Main Street, westward into Syracuse.
This sanitary sewer work involves trenchless repairs – “putting a new pipe” inside the existing old pipe, thus saving time and money in the rehabilitation process.
The first Layton project  includes the mainlines in Antelope Drive from Hill Field Road to 2200 West and in 2200 West from Antelope Drive to Gordon Avenue. Work has begun and is scheduled  to be completed in July (prior to the start of the UDOT Antelope Interchange project).
The second project in Layton is on Gentile Street, from 3100 West to Bluff Road in Syracuse. That work begins in June and will be finished by September.
The final Layton project is a Hill Field Road crossing project at 2900 North, to be started and completed in the month of October.
While the work itself does little to disrupt traffic flow, sewer flow must be diverted through above ground pipes to install the new inner lining. This may restrict traffic from crossing a street, or making left-hand turns.
