Storm Clean-Up Information

LAYTON – As a result of yesterday’s storm, Layton City in cooperation with Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District have arranged for Layton City residents to dispose of green waste at the landfill starting September 23, 2016 through October 8, 2016. Business hours are Monday- Saturday 7:00 a.m.  – 6:00 p.m.  Debris clean-up on residential/commercial property is primarily the responsibility of the property owner. Listed below are the requirements for waste to be accepted at the landfill:


  • Only approved green waste will be accepted
  • Both minimum and weighed loads are eligible
  • Proof of Layton City residency is required (driver’s license or utility bill)
  • Only residential delivery will be accepted. No commercial landscapers, etc.


Layton City’s employees are working hard to (1) clear debris from storm drains, (2) identify and repair damaged or missing traffic control devices, (3) clear roadways of fallen debris, and (4) ensuring infrastructure viability.
