Jory Rand Argyle - Council Candidate
Biography
Hello Layton friends, I'm Jory Rand Argyle. I'm running for City Council to honor heritage, foster transparency, and strategically plan for prosperity.
My roots in Layton are deep. My 4th great-grandfather Joseph Hill built Layton's first cabin. Layton's named after another 4th great-grandfather, Christopher Layton. My grandparents, Jay & Odessa Harris, owned the dairy on Antelope Drive during the decades of Layton's greatest growth. Now I'm fulfilling my dream, raising my four kids in Layton; half a mile from my grandparents' second home, where they restored Joseph Hill's cabin.
Professionally, I spent 18 years at CRH (world's largest construction materials company) developing leaders and empowering co-workers. Today I test next-generation systems at Hill AFB, balancing rigorous standards with tight budgets. I'll use the same foresight and discipline with city planning and finances.
My plan rests on three commitments:
- Celebrate Layton's Heritage
- Foster Integrity
- Strategically Plan for Prosperity
Layton's growth is exciting, but only if we shape it together. I'm listening; please email, call, or stop me at the Farmers Market. Let's keep the best of Layton's past and create even better tomorrows. I'd be honored to earn your vote.
