Chris Crowder - Council Candidate


Chris is 45 years old and has been a resident of Layton for over 30 years attending Central Davis Jr. High and Layton High School before graduating from Weber State University in 1996. He went on to earn a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Chris is married to Kathleen Tesori-Crowder and they have 3 children.

Chris has been an entrepreneur since high school drawing plans for future ventures and starting a sprinkler and Landscape business.

Chris was appointed by Governor Herbert to the Utah State Board of Juvenile Justice (UBJJ) and served from 2014-2017. The UBJJ is the eyes and ears of the Governor and the State of Utah dealing with reform and best practices for helping kids who enter the Juvenile Justice system.

Chris is a member of the Layton City Interfaith Council created by Former Mayor Bob Stevenson to bring together people of all faiths in our city for the purpose of making Layton a better place to live and supporting our community.

Other community services include the Layton City 2020 Census complete count committee, the Love My City Project, Layton Interfaith Christmas Concert, and making two trips to National Disaster Zones in Missouri and Oklahoma helping people in need.
