32 Emerald Drive
My name is Teresa Stokes, I've lived in Layton City for 24 years. I attended Weber State University and majored in Criminal Law; with a minor in Psychology. I served on the Student Council as the Service Director, my Senior year I served as the University Leadership Director. As the Leadership Director, I supervised a budget and put together an annual Leadership Conference, arranged classes and conferences for young leaders at high schools and colleges throughout Utah. I served 5 years as a Mentor for the First Year Experience Program, assisting new students in navigating college life. I'm a retired State Trooper from the Utah Highway Patrol, I was stationed at the State Capitol serving in a Dignitary Protection Unit. My job was to protect the Governor, the Legislature, and visiting dignitaries including several Presidents, Colin Powell, and Margaret Thatcher. I also patrolled throughout the Salt Lake Valley. I have been married to my husband, John, for 15 years; together we have a blended family with 12 children, 33 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. I love the great state of Utah and Layton City and would enjoy continuing to serve our citizens on the Layton City Council.
