The USCCA Basic Handgun course is for
responsible persons who want to learn
the proper way to use handguns safely
and responsibly. Learn what to look for
when purchasing a fi rearm, shooting
fundamentals, gear and gadgets, and
basic/advanced skills. At least 1 hour
will be live fi re on the shooting range at
Red Dot in Layton. A USCCA certifi cate
is issued upon completion of class.
Owning a fi rearm is not required to take
this course. The classroom portion will
be taught at Layton High by Bruce Illum
bruce.illum@gmail.com who is an NRA
Training Counselor and Instructor with
the USCCA. Students will pay Red Dot
for use of the range.
