Terry R. Coburn
Terry Coburn was born in California, but his family moved to Layton City in 1960. He was raised and attended school in Layton beginning with Crestview Elementary, Central Davis Jr. High and then graduated from Layton High School in 1972. He later graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Management. Terry began his career with Layton City Public Works in 1974. In 1981 he was promoted to Director of Public Works. Terry and his wife Rebecca (also a Layton City employee) are the proud parents of nine children: Chris, Corey, Vance, Brittney, Chandler, Brennan, Austin, Tiffany, and Shannon.
Throughout his years of service to the community, Terry has witnessed many changes as Layton has grown from a small farming community to the present. He has been committed to see that essential public services are well provided to enhance the quality of life for all of our residents. Terry also enjoys spending time with his family and looks forward to helping coach his three son’s Chandler, Brennan, and Austin on the Layton High Golf Team.
